PHNOM PENH, (EAC News) — Aug. 28, 2025 — Cambodia marks one month of peace with Thailand.

A ceasefire, agreed July 28 in Malaysia and supported by the U.S. and China, took effect at midnight. Prime Minister Hun Manet and his Thai counterpart pledged an immediate, unconditional halt to hostilities.

Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra shared memorable photos from the Malaysia meeting, highlighting Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining the ceasefire.
